We are looking for a Systems Administrator IV to support a Department of the Navy (DoN) customer in Port Hueneme, CA. FirstDiv delivers high-quality, professional services to both government and commercial sectors. The qualified candidate will be required to perform the following:
Monitor existing systems to ensure structural integrity.
Oversee the development and installation of new hardware and software.
Install and configure operating systems and software, routinely testing for issues.
Provide technical direction to IT support staff.
Ensure constant availability of technical resources.
Design and implement security systems and redundant backups to maintain data safety.
Write custom scripts to automate tasks and reduce human intervention.
Requirements
Minimum of 10 years’ experience in network systems administration.
Proficiency with Windows and Linux systems administration, including Active Directory, Group Policy Management, and PKI implementation.
Experience managing virtual environments, especially with VMWare Infrastructure.
Knowledge of storage backups management.
Experience in designing and configuring network solutions.
Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems.
Certification in one of the following: CASP+, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP, GCED, GCIH.
Interim DoD Secret clearance required to start, with a Top-Secret clearance needed.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and keyboard.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work.
Light to moderate lifting may be required.
Regular, predictable attendance is required.
