Overview

GovCIO is currently hiring for a Staff Management Lead for resource planning, clearance management, training coordination, and onboarding for clearance accessibility for the Internal Revenue Service. This position will be a fully remote position within the United States with core hours of operations from 8 AM to 5 PM ET.

Responsibilities

Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations with the business and technology teams that initiate and collect required information from new hires to initiate background checks for access to IRS information once cleared. Provides functional expertise in identifying, evaluating, and submitting accurate data. Brief senior leadership on the status of clearance and training status.

Oversee day-to-day operations and Interactions with personnel to solicit onboarding documents and works with the personnel to submit accurate documents for submission.

Manage the team and reports that track and report status of onboarding and offboarding, cumulative personnel, cumulative counts of personnel, GFE issue counts, training status, and PIV card status on a recurring basis. Weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly yearly, or ad hoc .

Oversee and coordinate training program and staff training requirements.

Develop concise presentations and visualizations as needed using PowerPoint.

Documents service requirements for process improvements to enhance the onboarding/offboarding workflow.

Prepare, coordinate, manage and lead program briefings and reports as needed.

Maintaining databases and electronic filing systems including MS Teams, SharePoint, and Excel documents.

Support IRS operations by delivering communications messages regarding operations topics such as timesheets, holidays, all hands announcements.

Support archiving processes for all contract deliverables.

Develop concise presentations and visualizations as needed using PowerPoint.

Define and implement onboarding metrics as needed to support team.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience

Bachelors with 5-8 years (or commensurate experience)

Extreme attention to detail to avoid errors and omissions on documents to be submitted for initial IRS clearance.

Methodical approach to workflow and tasks for greatest efficiency.

Analytical Thinking – Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis and the ability to determine the root cause of problems and create alternative solutions that resolve the problems in the best interest of the business.

Effective Communications – Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools, and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors; ability to effectively write/technical writing; and ability to translate technical approaches and methodologies into actionable tasks.

Tools – Able to use MS applications to conduct day-to-date business – Teams, SharePoint, Excel, Outlook are used extensively.

Prior experience in database entry and management.

Preferred Skills and Experience

Experience with government agency clearing processes

Experience working with Airtable or other database applications

Advanced organizational skills for tracking and monitoring stages of completion for all staff.

Proven ability to work effectively in a remote setting.

Project Management skills

Clearance: : Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance with Internal Revenue Service

Posted Pay Range

The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Posted Salary Range

USD $117,000.00 – USD $127,000.00 /Yr.
