Job Description:

L3Harris is seeking a Systems Engineering Manager that will be involved in activities directly related to the management of a team of experienced system engineers. Will be required to lead a team of system engineers through the development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, system architecture design, hardware and software integration, and verification and validation activities related to SIGINT/ELINT Airborne Systems.

Essential Functions:

Communicates within and outside of the organization to influence leadership to accept new practices, approaches, and concepts

Manages the implementation of functional strategies and recommends operational plans that directly impact the SIGINT Systems department goals

Manages the experienced professionals of the SIGINT Development Systems department

Responsible for creating workforce and staffing plans for the SIGINT Development Systems department to ensure availability of human capital necessary to accomplish departmental business goals

Has hiring, firing, promotion and compensation authority within the SIGINT Development Systems organization

Communicates with parties within and outside of the organization, which includes large customers and vendors

Works to influence others to accept new practices, concepts, and approaches

Requires ability to communicate and influence leadership regarding matters of substantial importance to the SIGINT Systems department

Responsible for improving upon existing processes or establishing new processes and systems

Qualifications:

U.S. Citizen

Bachelor’s degree plus a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience. A combination of education and experience may also be considered.

Graduate Degree plus a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.

In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 16 years of relevant experience is required.

Experience leading and establishing guidance across diverse teams is preferred.

Experience in design, development, and/or testing of ELINT RF Antenna systems.

Microsoft Office experience

Secret Clearance

IRAD and Technical Baseline development/management
