Adecco is partnering with a leading company in Lewisville, TX , to hire a Shipping Supervisor . This role is ideal for an experienced professional who thrives in fast-paced warehouse and shipping environments , ensuring smooth logistics operations while leading a team.
About the Role:
The Shipping Supervisor will oversee warehouse employees , manage truckload pickups , and ensure that all shipments are accurately processed, inspected, and shipped on time while complying with company policies. This role involves hands-on ERP system management , shipping documentation , and collaboration across departments to optimize operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise daily shipping operations , ensuring all shipments are processed accurately and efficiently.
Oversee truckload scheduling and ensure shipments are loaded on time and within budget.
Manage shipping orders, invoices, and records to maintain accurate transaction history.
Utilize FedEx and UPS shipping software to generate custom shipping labels and packing lists using ERP systems.
Analyze shipping reports, freight charges, and inventory records for process improvement.
Lead, mentor, and train warehouse employees , ensuring compliance with company policies.
Resolve shipping issues , confirm accurate weight postings, and monitor shipping cost efficiency .
Prepare daily shipping reports for management and maintain documentation for all transactions.
Maintain a safe and organized warehouse environment , ensuring compliance with safety standards.
What We’re Looking For:
? 3-5+ years of experience in shipping/logistics supervision
? Strong knowledge of FedEx Ship Manager, UPS WorldShip, and ERP systems (Epicor experience a plus)
? Proficiency in Microsoft Excel , with the ability to analyze data and create reports
? Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
? Ability to multi-task and manage shipping priorities with minimal oversight
? Excellent communication skills , both verbal and written
? Experience working cross-functionally with logistics, warehouse, and leadership teams
? Flexibility to work 1st and 2nd shifts as needed
Education & Certifications:
High school diploma required ; Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management preferred
Valid driver’s license required
