Primary Responsibilities
Communicate with technical leads (systems, electrical, mechanical, test, etc.) and SMEs to plan out software system functionality and estimate development schedule
Lead design, development and integration of software with hardware components in a lab environment
Manage tasking for other technical members and plan software development using Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
Unit testing, verification, and documentation of software architecture.
Debug network and serial communications between software and hardware components
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited university with 8+ years of experience or an MS degree with 6+ years of experience
Possess a strong competency in C#
Experience with hardware integration in a lab environment and analysis of hardware/software compatibility
Experience leading software architecture design
Experience collaborating with other functional groups (systems engineering, electrical engineering, test, etc.) to create a software product
Experience managing a team and assigning tasking within an Agile environment (or equivalent)
Experience with software best practices such as peer reviews, automated testing, and document generation.
Resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville – North Alabama, AL area
Must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance
Preferred Qualifications
Experience developing with serial communication libraries (ex: RS232, RS485)
Experience using Wireshark and developing software that sends communications over a network (UDP/TCP)

Pay Range:
Pay Range $104,650.00 – $189,175.00
The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
