Senior Software Engineer

Datawiz is actively hiring for a Senior Software Engineer who is an expert in Powerbuilder. In this position you will be leading multiple projects to develop, implement, support, and maintain application systems using PowerBuilder with Java and Oracle.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serve as a technical advisor on enhancement projects.
- Assist business and project leaders in determining solution options from modifying existing apps to designing new application features and service.
- Writing SQL scripts to manipulate data.
- Database stored procedures and triggers.
- Supporting systems in production support and maintenance.
- Analyze requirements and formulate design.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Senior level of knowledge and experience, at least five (5) years of related experience.
- In-depth working knowledge of SQL language, PowerBuilder, RDBMS in general, and either MS SQL Server or Oracle.
- Experience with Java development
- Experience with deploying J2EE applications.
- Excellent communication skill.
Special Software Tools or Certificates Required
- Must be knowledgeable in PowerBuilder
Preferred Qualifications
- PowerBuilder expertise
Degree Needed (if any) or Additional Skills in Lieu of Degree
- Relevant Computer Science, Information Technology, or Computer Engineering
Security Clearance Needed:
- Must be able to obtain a public trust clearance
Physical Requirements/Essential Functions
- Must be able to sit for extended periods while working on a computer.
- Capability to work on a computer for the majority of the workday.
