ASRC Federal / Broadleaf is seeking qualified candidates to fill our Senior Cloud Engineer (Azure) position supporting our Army Analytics Group (AAG) located in Fairfield CA. This is a Remote position.
We are seeking a skilled Azure Cloud Engineer to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing Azure-based cloud solutions. The role involves working closely with development teams, operations teams, and business stakeholders to ensure the efficient, reliable, and secure operation of cloud infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
Cloud Infrastructure Design and Deployment:
Design, deploy, and maintain scalable Azure cloud infrastructure.
Implement and manage virtual networks, storage, and virtual machines.
Monitoring and Maintenance:
Monitor cloud infrastructure performance and troubleshoot issues.
Ensure system availability, performance, and security.
Security and Compliance:
Implement security best practices and compliance standards.
Manage access controls and identity management within Azure.
Automation and Optimization:
Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using tools like ARM templates, Terraform, or Ansible.
Automate deployment, scaling, and management of cloud resources.
Collaboration and Support:
Work closely with development teams to support continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) processes.
Provide support and guidance to other team members on cloud best practices.
Documentation and Reporting:
Document cloud architecture, configurations, and procedures.
Prepare regular reports on system performance and usage.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
5-7 years of proven experience as an Azure Cloud Engineer or similar role.
Strong knowledge of Azure services, including Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Storage, Azure Networking, and Azure Active Directory.
Experience with cloud security, monitoring, and performance optimization.
Proficiency in scripting languages like PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or Git.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Clearance Level:
Active Secret Security Clearance (preferred) OR eligibility to obtain and hold a secret clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Azure certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, or Azure DevOps Engineer.
Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
Knowledge of other cloud platforms (AWS) is a plus.
