As a Security Officer – DoD Secret Cleared in Annapolis Junction, MD , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense and more .
As an unarmed patrol officer in the aero and defense location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a visible presence. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, providing excellent customer service, and communicating clearly with staff and visitors. You will contribute to a positive environment by working collaboratively with your team and upholding the highest standards of integrity and reliability.

Responsibilities:
Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter, which may include areas related to aerospace and defense operations.
Observe and report any unusual activity or potential threats to the appropriate personnel.
Assist in helping to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas within the location.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities and incidents as required by site protocols.
Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and team members while on patrol.
Minimum Requirements:
Active Department of Defense Secret Clearance required.
A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
Maryland Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
