Summary:
Vighter is hiring several Security Assistants to support the company’s security operations by managing security-related documents and records. Ideal candidates should be detail-oriented, organized, and knowledgeable about security procedures. The Security Assistant will work closely with security personnel and management to ensure compliance with regulations.
Education, Licensure/Certification & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Gather, review, and process security clearance applications, background checks, and other security-related documents in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Verify the accuracy and completeness of security documents, ensuring that all required information and supporting documentation are provided.
Coordinate with internal departments, external agencies, and vendors to obtain necessary documentation and information for security clearance processing.
Maintain organized and up-to-date filing systems for security documents and records, ensuring easy access and retrieval of information as needed.
Track and monitor the status of security clearance applications and processing, providing regular updates and reports to management.
Assist in the preparation and submission of security clearance packages and documentation to government agencies or other regulatory bodies.
Provide administrative support to security personnel, including scheduling appointments, arranging meetings, and managing calendars.
Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and confidentiality, adhering to security protocols and confidentiality agreements.

Knowledge of regulations (HIPAA/Privacy Act) regarding the confidentiality of patient medical records and information as well as Personally Identifiable Information (PII).
Provide training and support to employees on timekeeping systems and processes, including troubleshooting issues and providing guidance on using timekeeping tools effectively.
Stay informed about changes in timekeeping technology, regulations, and best practices, and make recommendations for updates and improvements to timekeeping processes.
Must have exceptional customer service skills.
Employees shall be technically proficient in the skills necessary to fulfill the job requirements, including ability to speak, understand, read and write English fluently.
Other duties as assigned.
Duty Hours / On-call Requirements:
The corporate office is open 8 a.m.-5 p.m.; however, during times of rapid mobilization and coordination of travel, hours may be extended to include nights and weekends.
Travel:
As required to satisfy the contractual obligations. Generally, travel is limited to commute from residence to the worksite. Commute is non-compensatory. All official travel is government funded .

Qualifications:
Must be able to walk, stand, bend, and/or sit for more than 8 hours per day.
Must be able to perform duties in a stressful and often austere environment without physical limitations.
Must be able to use an elevator or walk up and down stairs.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and carry up to 10 feet.
Must be able to routinely grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbows/knees and reach above and below shoulders.
Must be able to read and interpret handwritten and typewritten print.
Must be able to communicate by voice and detect sound by ear.
Must be willing to work day, night, weekdays, weekends, holidays, and overtime if necessary.
Must be able to perform duties in an indoor and/or outdoor environment.
Must be able to pass a criminal background investigation. Candidate must not have been convicted of, pled guilty to, pled nolo contender to, or received probation prior to judgment for any crime other than a minor traffic violation, the record of which has not been expunged.
Must undergo Urine Drug Screening (UDS).
