Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Electronic Maintenance Technician 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in Warner Robins, GA . The Electronic Maintenance Technician 3 is responsible for supporting production and manufacturing processes. Provides activities in a variety of cross-functional areas including production planning and control, total quality management, manufacturing equipment, facilities engineering, material management and process engineering. Will provide training in core skill areas to teams and peers and interact with internal and external customers. Will repair, modify, and maintain a variety of electronic equipment and Electronic Warfare systems. You will be maintaining highly complex systems and equipment that are mission critical for the platforms that they operate on.

In this role, the selected candidate will be expected to the following and other similar tasks:

Provide guidance and organize workflow as a team lead in an CCA repair and automated test solutions setting.

Interact with internal and external customers with respect to product planning, problem resolution, and process improvement.

Provide reporting as requested to Operations Leadership.

Ensures product quality prior to final inspection for all assemblies.

Fabricate, assemble, and disassemble electronic subassemblies.

Wire circuits, replace components, and repair CCA’s

Perform routine electronic preventative maintenance on special test equipment (STE) and test stations.

Perform test readings using several different instruments, including Spectrum Analyzer, Network Analyzer, Curve Tracers, Oscilloscopes, Signal Generators and Digital Multimeters.

Conduct routine engineering tests and detailed experimental testing.

Perform calibration checks on electronic instruments.

Use practical electronic theory and basic tools.

Basic Qualifications:

Must have a High School Diploman/GED and 7+ years of relevant electronics experience.

Will consider Associates degree (or higher) in electronics-related field OR Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) in electronics related position, AND 5+ years of relevant electronics experience.

Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Word and Excel

Must be able to work various shifts as needed.

Must be able to work on-site in Warner Robins, Georgia

Familiarity with Oscilloscopes, Digital Multimeter (DMM) or similar test equipment

Self-starter with ability to work with little to no supervision.

Ability to recognize electronic components and work from schematics, diagrams, rough sketches, and verbal instructions.

Ability to follow test procedures, work instructions and other process documents.

Must be able to collaborate in a team environment.

Able to obtain/maintain a Secret DoD clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

Associates degree (or higher) in electronics-related field OR Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) in electronics related position

Familiarity or proficiency with Basic Circuit Analysis and testing tools, basic electronics principles, and use of digital and analog components, using manufacturers’ datasheets to accurately assess component capability and testing needs.

Familiarity with computer-controlled industrial equipment environments including Industrial controls for line equipment (general), Ability to learn new digital systems (windows and embedded operational programs for controlling industrial equipment), Machine code generation for controlling automated industrial equipment, ability to learn new concepts for testing using advanced automated and high-speed techniques, measurement and stimulus control of instrumentation via USB or GPIB, use of a digital multimeter, oscilloscope and current probes.

Familiarity with one or more of these CCA line equipment items or similar products; conformal coating systems, Flying Probe Tester, X-Ray inspection system, BGA/SMT Rework Station.

Familiarity with CCA design, construction and fabrication including Bare PWB (board) fabrication and inspection, CCA design file sets, CCA design troubleshooting, CCA test methods and testing of common digital and analog components, CCA production process troubleshooting, CCA component population methods and troubleshooting (including surface mount and/or thru-hole components).

Familiarity or ability to use computer based CCA design tools and testing programs, gerber file viewers and/or editors, line equipment specific profile tools (i.e. Acculogic’ s XMatics program, Acculogic’ s FPT program, PVA profile generator, BGA system profile generator), CAD programs (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.), Excel or similar spreadsheet and/or numerical analysis software tools, Computer based schematic design and editing tools.

Salary Range: $29 – $29

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate’s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
