CFD Research is looking to add a talented RF Engineer to work in a hands-on laboratory environment on a variety of research and development projects. This position will support the lab’s overall mission to develop secure electronics for DoD systems. The engineer in this position will provide expertise as it relates to analyzing and developing RF components of the technologies. Candidate will need to bring a broad range of RF capabilities and understanding, ranging from electromagnetic theory to digital wireless communications.
Basic qualifications include :
Position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (Or similar STEM Discipline) and at least 5 years of relevant work experience in RF Communications or Test (Master’s Degree is a plus)
Experience using RF equipment such as vector network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators and oscilloscopes is required
Candidate must be a US Citizen and meet eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s Degree with a focus in electromagnetic theory is a plus
Experience with one or more of the following technologies is preferred: Communications theory, digital wireless communications systems, GPS/GNSS, 5G, OFDM, MIMO
Exposure to and interest in antenna design and modeling
Experience with CST Microwave Studio or similar EM Simulation software
Spread spectrum techniques and concepts
