The Role: S&P Global Commodity Insights is seeking candidates for our 10-week summer internship program in from June 2025 within our?Research and Analytics business.

The Team: ? Join a globally recognized team that provides strategic insights and expertise in energy markets, climate solutions, and sustainable strategies for clients across various sectors, including Oil, Gas, Power, Chemicals, Agri, and Metals.?

Location: ?Washington, D.C. (Please note: relocation assistance is not available)

Responsibilities and Impact:?

Conduct research and analyze market trends in energy and climate sectors.?

Support modelling efforts and collaborate with global analysts.?

Utilize tools like Python, Power BI, and Excel for data structuring and visualization.?

Participate in policy evaluation and data management tasks.?

Engage with industry experts to gain insights into energy transition dynamics.?

What We’re Looking For:?

Basic Required Qualifications:

Current undergraduate or graduate student graduating May/June 2026 ONLY with a strong interest in energy and climate change.

Excellent verbal and written communication, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.?

Intellectual curiosity and strong desire to learn and explore new ideas.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.?

Proficiency in data analysis tools like Python, Power BI, and Excel.?

Additional Preferred Qualifications:?

Experience in market analysis or policy evaluation.?

Familiarity with energy markets, climate solutions, and sustainable strategies.?

Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.?
