The Systems Integration and Engineering (SIE) organization is implementing a major initiative to significantly improve our capabilities and performance. A key part of this is a focus on improving System Design Integration. To drive this effort, we are creating several new technical leadership positions within the Design Integration department.

The Requirements and Verification (R&V) Systems Integration Lead will have the following responsibilities:

Provide direct technical assistance to programs through activities such as pursuit/proposal support, independent reviews, and anomaly investigation teams.

Be an active participant in Systems Engineering improvement initiatives. Improve and maintain formal command media and informal R&V Integration guidance as well as templates/tools provided to programs

Lead the development, decomposition, and management of system, subsystem, and component level requirements, ensuring clarity, consistency, and traceability

Establish and maintain a talent pipeline for R&V Integration.

Improve R&V integration training material and serve as lead instructor for training classes

Contribute to the continuous improvement of requirements management and verification processes, tools, and methodologies within the organization

Assist department manager in identification and allocation of R&V Integration resources to programs

Support major program reviews including Technical Interchange Meetings (TIM), Proposal Technical Adequacy Reviews (PTAR), System Requirements Review (SRR), Design Reviews (PDR, CDR) and Flight Test Readiness Reviews (DTRR, XRR, MRR)

Support the development and verification of system requirements and document & manage accordingly.

Offer guidance to Systems Engineering teams, covering the entire Systems Engineering lifecycle, from architecture and requirements development, system integration, verification and validation, all the way through mission operations.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelors or higher degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent education with professional experience and specialized training commensurate with this assignment.

High degree of expertise in R&V Integration for spacecraft and/or missiles

Experience as a Systems Engineer in program engineering lifecycles performing requirements derivation, decomposition, and verification.

Experience in all lifecycle phases from program start to mission operations

Desired Skills:

10 years combined experience in R&V systems design and integration

Experience as a Chief/Lead Systems Engineer or Chief Engineer on a program.

Experience in developing and executing verification and validation plans and procedures

Experience with a new program start-up in a technical leadership role.

Experience in a technical proposal leadership role (e.g., technical solution lead, volume lead or section lead, etc.).

Experience with digital transformation efforts such as 1LMx and implementing AI/ML capabilities to improve program and organization capabilities.

Experience communicating effectively, both internally with peers and Program leadership as well as externally with customer counterparts.

Familiarity with industry standards and regulations (e.g., MIL-STD, NASA, AIAA)

Knowledge of requirements management tools (esp, DOORS, DOORS Next)

Knowledge of SysML and Cameo

20 years of experience (or 15 years with a MS) in a Systems Engineering related environment.

Relevant experience on multiple programs

Relevant experience in multiple Lines of Business

Experience in Software Development and/or integration and test

Experience in data integration for large, complex programs

Experience in Space-Ground interface management

Experience during ATLO phase of a program

CPE experience

IPT or Technical Leadership experience

Extensive technical mentoring experience

Experience in process development/improvement

Experience as independent reviewer

Experience developing training material and as an instructor

Active Top Secret/SCI Clearance

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 9×80 every other Friday off

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $151,200 – $266,570. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $166,400 – $288,305. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
