Description: You will be the Quality Engineer for our Quality Assurance team. Our team is responsible for implementing and developing quality principles to ensure the highest standards of product and process quality.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for investigating non-conformance issues, seeking continuous improvement, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure quality standards are in place. You will apply quality principles in various areas, including design, production control, and product evaluation.
Your responsibilities will include:
– Interfacing with Production, Program Quality Engineering, and Manufacturing Engineering personnel
– Investigating and resolving non-conformance issues through root cause analysis and corrective action
– Conducting audits, assessments, and technical evaluations to ensure quality standards
– Collaborating with program management, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and customers on quality-related issues
– Developing strategies to improve internal and supplier performance and productivity
– Designing and analyzing inspection and testing processes

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN – This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance. A company-sponsored interim secret is required to start.
Basic Qualifications:
STEM degree at Bachelors level or higher.
Must be able to obtain a security clearance and must have at least an interim secret clearance prior to start.
**Candidate must be able to pass a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (“ATF”) background check to obtain approval to be an “employee possessor” (of explosives or other ATF-regulated items) as defined by ATF regulations. Failure to obtain and retain employee possessor status may result in revocation of an offer and loss of employment.
Desired Skills:
Mechanical or industrial engineering degree.
VBA coding skills. (Excel)
Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T).
Quality discipline internship or DoD Industry internship.
Ability to work with a team in a fast paced environment.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4×10 hour day, 3 days off per week
