We are seeking a Quality Assurance Inspector with a high school diploma or GED equivalent and at least 2 years of relevant experience. The Mission Solutions and Technologies (MST) business area provides affordable, turn-key command/control, communications, integrated ISR, force protection and security solutions worldwide. The MST team has a long legacy of supporting the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, commercial and international customers with years of experience in platform operations, engineering and full lifecycle management across domains – air, land, sea, space and cyber.
Responsibilities:
Quality Assurance Inspector, will be using your skills and expertise to ensure that our incoming parts, in-process production, and ready to ship product meet all quality requirements.
Responsible for visually inspect our materials, parts, and products at different stages of production for structural flaws, internal defects, or missing welds and accept, reject, or request rework of defective or malfunctioning units or systems.
Develop, apply, revise and maintain our quality standards for receiving, in-process and final inspection.
Qualifications You Must Have:
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
Higher education may substitute for relevant experience
Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education
Knowledge and ability to understand and interpret technical schematics and drawings
Knowledge and ability to interpret geometric dimensioning and tolerance
Experience with finished goods inspection
Experience with Costpoint and/or AEGIS-MES
Basic understanding of material flow in operations
Ability to draft work instructions and SOP’s
Experience with Network+, Security+, CCNA and/or A+ Working knowledge of ISO 9000 and AS 9100 standards
Quality Assurance Inspector I with 1+ years experience in a Manufacturing Quality environment
1+ years mechanical inspection background with ability to use basic hand measurement tools
As required by site, knowledge of and ability to use a wide range of higher precision measuring or Non-Destructive Evaluation equipment.
Self-starter requiring minimal supervision.
Effective teamwork, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with MS Office
The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required
Preferred Skills:
IPC 610, 620, J-Std-01
Knowledge and ability to understand and interpret technical schematics and drawings
Knowledge and ability to interpret geometric dimensioning and tolerance (GD&T)
Experience with receiving/finished goods inspection
Experience with Manufacturing Execution System (MES)
Basic understanding of material flow in Operations
Experience drafting work instructions and SOP’s
