About this Position

The Small Uncrewed Engines (SUE) team is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Control Leader to join our fast-paced and high energy team, which is expected to deliver a new centerline engine in under 3 years. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing program control activities, ensuring that our projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. This role requires a deep understanding of program management principles and the ability to apply lean methodologies to drive continuous improvement.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

Lead program control activities for the Small Uncrewed Engines Team, ensuring alignment with project goals and objectives.

Develop and maintain program schedules, budgets, and resource plans.

Monitor program performance and implement corrective actions as needed to ensure successful project delivery.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate risks.

Utilize lean principles to drive process improvements and enhance program efficiency.

Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.

Communicate program status, issues, and opportunities to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in design engineering

Proven experience in program management, preferably within the aerospace industry.

Strong knowledge of lean methodologies and experience applying them in a program management context.

Familiarity with GE Aerospace’s FLIGHT DECK operating model.

Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment..

Due to the nature of the duties of this position, this role will require the individual to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance. Prerequisite for a security clearance is U.S. Citizenship.

Desired Characteristics

Proven track record of leading complex engineering projects from concept to production.

Experience with DOD Qualification of Weapon Systems.

Demonstrated experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) and FP&A or equivalent business launch approval process.

Working knowledge of CAMEO and program managing software (such as MS Project).

Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and lead a remote team.

Ability to thrive in ambiguity, demonstrated by taking risks and embracing failure.
