Product Manager

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Product Manager to lead the strategic development and implementation of reporting functionalities for the Kroll Private Capital Markets Platform. This individual will focus on delivering high-value reporting capabilities tailored to the needs of valuation professionals and investment teams within private credit and equity managers (GPs).
As the Product Manager, you will own the strategy, design, and execution of reporting features, ensuring they meet the unique requirements of valuation managers, portfolio managers, and deal teams. You’ll collaborate with engineers, sales teams, and valuation analysts to create solutions that provide actionable insights at both the individual investment and portfolio levels.

Day-to-day responsibilities:

Strategic Vision and Planning:
Define the strategy and roadmap for reporting functionality, aligning with user needs and business objectives.
Identify and prioritize reporting features and functionalities to serve valuation professionals and investment teams effectively.

Stakeholder Engagement:
Collaborate closely with internal valuation analysts, portfolio managers, and deal teams to understand reporting needs.
Engage with clients to gather feedback and validate product-market fit for new reporting features.

Product Development:
Work with engineering teams to design and implement reporting tools, ensuring data accuracy, usability, and scalability.
Incorporate various valuation methodologies into the reporting framework, enabling robust scenario analysis and benchmarking.
Develop reporting solutions that address both granular investment-level details and aggregate portfolio-level insights.

Cross-functional Collaboration:
Partner with sales teams to position reporting functionalities as key differentiators.
Provide product training and support for internal teams and end-users.

Go-to-Market Strategy:
Develop go-to-market strategies for reporting functionalities, collaborating with marketing and sales to drive adoption.
Monitor product performance and iteratively improve reporting capabilities based on user feedback.

Essential traits:
5 years in a product management role, preferably in financial technology or commercial software for asset managers.
Strong understanding of private capital markets, including private equity, private credit, and valuation methodologies.
Experience designing or working with reporting tools for investment professionals.
Deep knowledge of valuation approaches, including discounted cash flow (DCF), market comparables, and other methodologies.
Ability to translate complex data needs into intuitive, actionable reporting features.
Proficiency in working with engineers to deliver data-centric product solutions.
Strong project management and prioritization skills.
Collaborative mindset with the ability to align diverse teams toward a common goal.
Customer-focused approach, ensuring product decisions are grounded in user needs.
Analytical and detail-oriented, with a passion for solving complex problems

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with tools or platforms used in private capital markets or valuation workflows.
Familiarity with business intelligence tools and data visualization solutions.
MBA or advanced degree in finance, business, or a related field.
