Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal Supply Chain Planning Specialist who is experienced in supply chain management and is a motivated self-starter to support the Secure Processing Operating Unit in Linthicum, MD.

The Supply Chain Planning Specialist’s responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Manage on time req release, PO placements, and PO delivery dates to maintain program schedule.

Manage material budget for contract requirements. Supporting baselining/EVMS requirements.

Manage/report and forecast material cost/performance of assigned program(s) (Cognos, CMEs, IPRS)

Act as CAM to support Program PLATO/CEAC/EAC activities

Identify and manage program risks and opportunities as they pertain to material requirements.

Analyzes lead times and identifies critical path procurements.

Monitor and address supplier capacity and/or production issues.

Maintain strong business acumen and ability to operate in a fast-paced production environment that consists of leading-edge technology suppliers.

Support Program proposal activities (BOE’s creation, CBOM review, etc)

Support development of supply chain strategy – including supplier development and supplier risk management, which may include development of secondary sources, safety stocks, and buffer stocks

Basic Qualifications for Principal Supply Chain Planning Specialist;

Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain, contracts, business and/or related field OR Master’s degree and minimum of 3 years of experience in supply chain, contracts, business and/or related field.

U.S. Citizenship is required with the ability to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Clearance.

Proficiently experienced in the use of MS Office Suite with expertise in MS Excel.

SAP experience.

Preferred Qualifications for Principal Supply Chain Planning Specialist:

Previous experience in Supply Chain, Business or Operations, or Financial Planning.

Experience in Earned Value Management Systems

Control Account Manager (CAM) certification

Experience in Federal and Defense contracting requirements including ITAR, DOS licenses, FAR and DFARS.

Salary Range: $87,000.00 – $130,600.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate’s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
