AEITS, Inc. is looking to grow its team! We are seeking a Tier 1 System Administrator, Part-time, to support our customer in the San Antonio, TX area. This role involves providing technical support and troubleshooting for network, desktop, and systems hardware and software, utilizing the ServiceNow Ticketing System. The position includes offering remote support, diagnosing issues, and coaching less-experienced professionals while managing cloud infrastructure problems globally.
Mission: As a Tier 1 System Administrator on this government program, you will be providing support for this important government agency.
Location: San Antonio, TX
All work is on-site. This is not a hybrid or remote position.
~~~~~Part-Time Shift Work: 2pm-10pm Mon-Tues; and 2pm-6pm Weds
Clearance: Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance with Polygraph.
Certifications:
- IAT Level 1 (Required within 6 months of start date)
Requirements:
- U.S. Citizenship
- Active TS/SCI with polygraph
- A Bachelor’s Degree and relevant job experience.
- Provides technical support and troubleshooting to network, desktop, and/or systems hardware and software.
- May coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals
- Applies basic diagnostic techniques to identify problems, investigate causes, and recommend solutions
- Provides remote support access through desktop mirroring and other remote access applications for worldwide sites
- Identify, investigate, resolve, and follow-up problems brought to the helpdesk by users of cloud infrastructure
- Must be a self-starter with strong attention to detail.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Must obtain an IAT Level 1 certificate within six months of the start date.
- Only IT-related work experience will be considered for qualifying the applicant’s years of experience.
- Strong ability to interact with end users, providing professional support and troubleshooting assistance in a friendly and efficient manner.
- Experience with or the ability to learn quickly the use of ServiceNow for managing and tracking support tickets.
- Basic knowledge of IT systems, networks, hardware, and software, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve common technical issues.
- Clear and effective communication, both written and verbal, for interacting with users and other team members.
Education and Required Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree and Entry level experience in DoD program management or relevant experience.
OR
- High-School Diploma or GED and Five (5) years of demonstrated combined experience in DoD program management or relevant experience.
Travel
- Less than 10% of travel may occur.
