What You’ll Get to Do:

Seeking a Naval Architect with expertise in Hydrodynamics in our Washington, DC office to perform design and analysis of new and existing ships and ship systems.

More About the Role:

Perform hull form design and hydrodynamic analyses for ship designs.

Preparation of powering, maneuvering, and seakeeping estimates

Analyze critical elements or performance of a design using analytic tools, model scale and full-scale testing, or prototyping as appropriate. Prepare reports of results and conclusions. Recommend and implement changes to designs based on conclusions.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Naval Architecture or Ocean Engineering

Two or more years of experience in US Navy or USCG ship design or ocean engineering.

Experience working with ship system performance assessment and prediction methods, especially hydrodynamic design and analysis software including FastShip, Rhino, seakeeping and CFD tools.

Strong organization and time management skills.

Good interpersonal skills to work with project teams and stakeholders.

Must be a US citizen and have ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Skills in Microsoft Office

Good written and verbal (English) communication skills.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

Master’s Degree in Naval Architecture or engineering.

This position is contingent on funding and may not be filled immediately. However, this position is representative of positions within CACI that are consistently available. Individuals who apply may also be considered for other positions at CACI.

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$66,100 – $135,600
