We are currently looking for a Mechanical EIT for building design with a positive, hands-on, collaborative work style to join our Durham, NC office to elevate our engineering capabilities and further grow dynamic Engineering Studios in every office of Little. Experience can include most of the following project types: civic/government, financial services, retail, high tech/R&D, healthcare, office, interior renovation, higher education, and/or education projects.
A position you’ll love:
Collaborating with our architects and other engineers to complete projects.
Using your passion for innovative design, problem-solving, and critical thinking on a variety of project types.
Candidates will have the following qualifications:
You are curious and creative, have a passion for problem-solving and critical thinking, and able to collaborate in a team setting.
0 – 2+ years of professional experience.
Strong proficiency with Revit (AutoCAD a plus) to generate construction documents.
Knowledge of building and mechanical/plumbing codes.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
It would be a plus to have some or all of the following qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
EIT certification (Passed the FE exam).
Knowledge of building and mechanical/plumbing codes.
Knowledge of energy/wellness certifications and documentation, such as LEED AP, WELL AP, BEMP, HPBD, etc. a plus.
Proficiency with Energy Modeling a plus.
Little is made up of Architects, Mechanical, Electrical and Structural Engineers, Land Planners, Landscape Architects & Civil Engineers, Interior Designers, Graphic Designers, CAFM & Strategic Planners and Digital Imaging and Animation specialists. Our other offices are in Charlotte NC, Newport Beach CA, Washington DC, Charleston SC and Orlando FL.
