CTT, a Kratos’ company, is looking for a Mechanical Drafter II for it’s San Jose location.

GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:Creates and modifies detailed drawings using CAD hardware and software from sketches, layouts or notes provided by engineering.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:- Assist Drafting/Document Control Department with clerical duties.- Update and maintain document logs.- Create and implement Engineering Change Orders.- Input parts and create Bills of Materials in an ERP system.- Create mechanical drawings in AutoCAD.- Create detailed Top Assy and Module Assy drawings in AutoCAD from rough sketches.- Adjust drawings according to feedback from engineers or technicians.- Closely Interact with the Engineering and Sales departments.- Work under supervision.- Follow established procedures on routine work, require instructions only on new assignments.- Apply acquired job skills and company policies and procedures to complete assigned tasks.- Other job duties as assigned.

Required Experience:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:- Ability to obtain security clearance, if needed, is required.- Proficient in using CAD and AutoCAD software.- Proficient in using Microsoft Word and Excel.- Experience with Electronics a plus.- Possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the assigned duties.- Maintain sensitive and confidential information as required by company and government requirements.- Communicate and interact effectively with peers, supervisors, and public, including maintaining respect for others, and following company policies.- Have a willingness and ability to learn and utilize company technology for company required purposes, including, for example training, reviewing and signing policies and procedures, benefits enrollment and changes, and more.- Computer literate and proficient with MS Office (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook) and various other computer software.- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.- Ability to read, understand and follow instructions.- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.- Ability to multi-task and work in a flexible environment with multiple competing deadlines.- Ability to maintain knowledge, skills, and abilities as it pertains to your job.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:- High School Diploma or equivalent, and minimum of 2 years of experience as a design drafter or similar role.
WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:- Shop floor environment / workbench or workstation.- Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time.- Ability to perform repetitive motion
