Summary
The Configuration Analyst II is responsible for maintaining accurate configuration documentation, version control, and baseline management across PMW 790/STACC systems. This position ensures that all hardware, software, and documentation changes are properly recorded, reviewed, and approved in accordance with Navy configuration management (CM) policies and procedures. The analyst collaborates with engineering, logistics, and cybersecurity teams to maintain configuration integrity throughout the system lifecycle, supporting audits, installations, and technical reviews.

Responsibilities
Establish, manage, and maintain configuration baselines for hardware, software, and documentation across multiple PMW 790 systems.
Track Engineering Change Requests (ECRs), deviations, and waivers, ensuring proper review, approval, and traceability.
Support the preparation and maintenance of Configuration Management Plans (CMPs), Interface Control Documents (ICDs), and version-control records.
Review and reconcile Bills of Material (BOMs), As-Built documentation, and technical drawings for accuracy and completeness.
Maintain and update configuration status and accounting systems, ensuring current data is available for audits and reporting.
Participate in Configuration Control Boards (CCBs) and provide CM documentation for change-review activities.
Coordinate with Platform Management, Logistics, and Engineering teams to ensure alignment between documentation, equipment, and software builds.
Assist in developing and enforcing configuration-control policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and templates.
Support quality-assurance checks for configuration data, system versioning, and integration consistency.
Prepare reports and metrics summarizing CM activities, discrepancies, and audit outcomes, leveraging JIRA, Confluence, or equivalent configuration-accounting systems for traceability.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience with DoD CM standards and tools
Knowledge of JIRA/Confluence tools.
Experience supporting configuration-control and baseline management activities within NAVWAR, PEO C4I, or SPAWAR programs preferred.
Familiarity with SOVT and baseline documentation processes.
5+ years of CM experience.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a cross-functional team; ready for occasional travel or onsite support as required.
Proven problem-solving abilities with strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent communication skills: able to explain technical issues to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
