Description: An IT Application Engineer (Manufacturing Operations Management) job is currently available at Belcan in Evendale, OH 45215. This is a full time, direct hire position with full benefits. To be considered for this role, you must have an associate degree, or a equivalent competency level, be a US citizen, and must possess an S/SSBI clearance or be willing to obtain one. Additionally, you must hold a current CompTIA Security+ certification or equivalent or be willing to obtain one.
Ideal candidates will have a competency level equivalent to an associate degree plus a minimum of four (4) years’ work experience supporting, designing, tuning, and implementing Kubernetes, Docker, Vmware Tanzu, or related products. Excellent candidates will have worked directly on iBaseT’s Solumina software used in a production environment.
Required Qualifications:
An associate degree, or a equivalent competency level
Four (4) years’ work experience supporting, designing, tuning, and implementing Kubernetes, Docker, Vmware Tanzu, or related products
Active S/SSBI clearance or be willing to obtain one
Current CompTIA Security+ certification or equivalent or be willing to obtain one
4+ years of experience using VMWare Tanzu, Docker, Kubernetes, or related products and architectures with implementation, tuning, and support experience in both day-to-day and project activities
2+ years of experience using Java on a Linux platform
Experience with integration methodologies and design patterns such as APIs and event-driven frameworks
Experience or working knowledge of deploying solutions to Cloud (AWS) including EKS and ECS
Define, design, and execute unit and integration testing of application
Experience with Service Now or other similar incident and problem management tools
Strong documentation skills and creation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
Attention to detail
Good interpersonal skills and clear communication
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
Excellent candidates will have worked directly on iBaseT’s Solumina software used in a production environment
Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 and 9
Docker or ContainerD
SQL Databases (Oracle preferred)
Version Control Systems (Github)
Docker and Kubernetes Monitoring Configuration
Grafana Configuration
ActiveMQ (Apache Application) – integration with other tools
We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary rate of $90,000-$110,000 however, Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
