Sealing Technologies, a Parsons Company, provides Cyber Security services and cutting-edge technologies to the Federal Government. Sealing Technologies is looking for a dedicated Production intern that will assist with technology production and production related web development at SealingTech’s Enterprise Modernization Center located in Stevensville Maryland. Hands on duties include assisting with inventory, server assembly, server testing, system integration, network switch upgrades, installation of technology subcomponents, kitting, and preparing shipments. Assisting with web front-end and back-end development utilizing HTML5, CSS, PHP and MySQL databases for an internal facing website that helps manages quality assurance systems.
This internship program lasts for 11 weeks and is a paid position. The candidate will work no more than 30 hours in a work week and will have access to mentorship and other developmental opportunities including professional presentations, mock interviews and resume prep.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Works with Production on current and upcoming projects
Assist with building and delivery of completed hardware products to customers.
Assist with assembling servers, storage, networking devices and sub-components into finished kitted products.
Assists in the creation and revisions of documentation.
Research better automation processes via scripting languages and web integration.
Assists in ongoing web development of product operations portal, which is a data capture and sharing tool primarily around quality assurance and control.
HTML5 with CSS front end development, making changes to data layouts and presentation, with minimal to no graphics design.
Working with multiple APIs for data gathering and data presentation.
Working with PHP and MySQL to capture and organize different data from systems and end users.
Makes recommendations on future use and expansion of the system to help meet the organizations quality goals.
Minimum Requirements:
US citizen
GPA of 3.0 or higher
Currently or previously majoring in Computer Science, IT or an IT related field
Strong critical and creative thinking skills
Strong attention to detail
Works well on a team
Follows verbal and written instructions
Basic web development knowledge
Ability to perform repetitive tasks with excellent attention to detail.
Familiarity with version control software (Github).
Strong communication, organization and time management skills
Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds

This role has an internal job title of an intern with a corresponding base hourly range of $15.75 to $27.30 set in line with internal benchmarks. Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual’s skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
