Summary
As military commanders have understood for centuries, logistics is the underpinning of every military success. At HII, we ensure our nation’s service members have the materiel they need to accomplish their mission. Right now, we are currently looking for an Elevator Support Unit (ESU) Configuration Analyst. This will be a full-time position, located in Virginia Beach, VA.
What You Will Do
Utilize CDMD-OA (Configuration Data Manager Database – Open Architecture) to look up ship’s configuration and submit configuration work files for SCDs when required.
Use NDE (Navy Data Environment) to access and print ILS certifications, SCDs, and RMMCO submissions for open and closeout of SCDs.
Review technical manuals with the Technical Data Management Information System (TDMIS).
Identify equipment and material using Navy Supply research tools.
Order drawings and tech manuals using CORETL.
Utilize HAYSTACK software to look up parts, National Stock Numbers (NSNs), and Allowance Parts Lists (APLs).
View and print Maintenance Index pages (MIP’s) and Maintenance Requirement Cards (MRC’s) using the PMS Viewer software program.
What You Must Have
3 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 1 year relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 7 years relevant experience.
Must have logistics experience identifying equipment and material using Navy Supply research tools such as HAYSTACK, FEDLOF, WEBFLIS, and any other Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) tools.
Must be familiar with CDMD-OA, NDE, and TDMIS MIPs and MRCs.
Must have knowledge of system configuration management and a broad technical understanding of logistics products.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
Must have basic Naval Ship Drawing Knowledge.
Preferred: Bonus Points For
A current, valid DoD Secret security clearance or higher.
Experience using the MERIT database is a plus.
Experience using MS Access, SQL Server and/or Delphi is a plus.
Experience with CORETL and PMS VIEWER is a plus.
Physical Requirements
Job performance will normally require only minor lifting and carrying of boxes of records or equipment.
