We are currently looking for an Entry-Level Nuclear Engineer to support our customers within the Strategic Microelectronics Division at Naval Surface Warfare Center – Crane.
Day to day tasking may include:
Work in a corroborative team environment while supporting planning and overseeing research, development, design, manufacture, test, installation, operations, and maintenance of electronic equipment and systems and generally as a member of a design, analysis, or review team.
Provide guidance and solutions to resolve complex problems and issues that arise in troubleshooting complex systems such as Irradiators and Accelerator type machines.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in nuclear engineering, electrical engineering, or physics.
Ability to learn and understand nuclear physics related to electron, gamma-ray, and neutron behavior on solid state electronic components
Ability to communicate to broad audiences both technical and non-technical information
Ability to be a team player and receive mentoring from senior engineers and leadership
Working knowledge of various electronic test equipment (oscilloscopes, digital multimeter, SMUs, etc.)
Technical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot complex problems
Understanding, familiarity and/or experience with microelectronics devices, LabVIEW, Altium, Printed Circuit Board (PCBs)
Aptitude for solving technical problems and creating customer solutions
Understanding of concepts, theories, and methods related to the composition, structure, and properties of microelectronics
Must be able to obtain and maintain an active Secret clearance (Note: US citizenship is required to obtain a US Secret clearance)
