AEITS, Inc. is looking to grow its team! We are seeking an EMC/GEM Senior System Administrator, Level 3,to support our customer in the Annapolis Junction, MD area. As a Senior System Administrator, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing telecommunications systems. The ideal candidate must possess strong creative problem-solving skills and thrive in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.
Mission: As a System Administrator on this government program, you will be providing support for this important government agency.
Location: Annapolis Junction, Maryland
All work is on-site. This is not a hybrid or remote position.
~~~Shift Work: Evenings Sun-Thurs 2pm-10pm, OR Mids. Sun-Thurs 10pm-6am
Clearance: Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance with Polygraph.
Special Requirements:
Must meet DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certification requirements. Acceptable certifications include but are not limited to:
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Security
- CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+)
- CompTIA Security+ CE
- GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC)
- Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional (GICSP)
- Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP)
Requirements:
- U.S. Citizenship
- Active TS/SCI with polygraph
- Bachelor’s degree and Fifteen (15) years of relevant experience.
- Provide 24/7 mission and infrastructure monitoring, notification, administrative support, logging, ticketing and reporting for supported systems
- Ability to work under pressure in a mission-critical setting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on creative solutions.
- Experience working in a high-availability operational environment.
- Familiarity with network security principles and best practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders, including ISP, GW GES staff, and end-users.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Desired Requirements
- Experience with enterprise network monitoring tools.
- Prior experience supporting DoD or government-related IT operations.
- Advanced knowledge of networking hardware and configurations
Education and Required Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree and Fifteen (15) years of relevant experience
OR
- High School Diploma and Twenty (20) years of relevant experience
Travel
- Less than 10% of travel may occur.
