Description
This position is contingent upon award. A secret security clearance is required.
Location: Remote (required travel to Aberdeen, MD)
Responsibilities and skillsets:
Serves as highly experienced technician capable of:
resolving complex system failures
developing preventive maintenance programs
training less experienced technicians
identifying systemic failures
conducting root cause analysis in collaboration with engineering.
Manages deliberate program of developing junior technicians.
Provides oversight to ensure support equipment (test measurement and diagnostic equipment etc.) is regularly calibrated and maintained by all field sites,
Troubleshoots and repairs systems, performs software updates.
Install, modify, wire, fabricate and maintain systems.
Distinguish between hardware and software problems in multi-vendor systems.
Education and Experience:
Secret security clearance required.
Bachelors degree (substitute HS diploma for 4 additional years of experience).
10 years total experience with the testing of electronic equipment.
8 years’ experience in the testing and troubleshooting of electronic subsystem installations in military systems.
