Role/Responsibilities/Qualifications

Ideal applicant will have experience with Infrared Optical Payloads and IR

data analysis for missile warning, missile tracking and missile defense
applications. They will have a working knowledge of space vehicle
operations, software development, payload calibration, weapons
systems, the Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) enterprise as it
pertains to existing capabilities and planned constellations, image data
processing and data fusion. The candidate should have both excellent written
and verbal communication skills and be able to take broad guidance and engage
with partners to develop programmatic approaches.
Create tasking plans for the IR payload for both targets and calibration
events according to payload constraints
Monitor payload data for quality and troubleshoot issues
Work as part of the system team to suggest and implement improvements that
streamline operations and data flow
Develop test plans and procedures for one-off events
Advise and assist the government and development contractors on future mission
capability
Integrate new capability into the OPIR enterprise
Task EO payload under the supervision of team leaders
Required Skills:
BS degree in STEM
2+ years of experience with computer programming/computer science
Basic understanding of space environment and space systems
US Citizen with the ability to obtain a secret then as TS/SCI level clearance
Desired Skills:
MS degree in STEM
5+ years in space vehicle operations
Experience with optical payloads and image processing
AI/ML applications for processing GEOINT data
Security Clearance & Other Requirements:
US Citizen with the ability to obtain a secret then as TS/SCI level clearance
Position is located in Boulder, CO – Note: Position on site and travel
expected to be less than 20% of the time.
Compensation:
The typical salary range for this position is USD $95,000 – $120,000
per year. Individual pay is determined by many factors including work
location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or
training. In addition to salary, this position is also eligible for a
discretionary annual performance bonus, profit sharing / retirement plan
and other benefits (all in addition to annual base salary).

Deliverable(s)

Deliverables could be in the format of a report, software file,

briefing, spreadsheet, or other document as directed by the Government,
using government approved and/or mandated systems/software and processes
governed by guidance/instructions/policy or direction. The nature of this
work will, at times, require quick responses to stringent deadlines and
always in a high quality, professional manner.
