Value Stream Leader (VSL)

The Value Stream Leader (VSL) is responsible for the execution and management of Production Spares, Depot Sustainment and Retrofit/Upgrade contracts.  
The position is responsible for securing the necessary resources for the factory utilizing resources from other organizations including engineering, production control, and mission assurance and managing those resources to meet the production schedule, budget, and manufacturing plan.  

The VSL will lead cross functional teams to reduce cost, improve quality, increase performance and reliability, and improve overall engagement of our product lines.  This position acts as a key customer contact on status and performance as well as anticipating and fulfilling customer needs to ensure Mission Assurance and continued business. 

The position is responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance, assembly, test, trouble shooting, root cause investigations, proposal and EAC support, and ensuring appropriate staffing. Guides cross-functional teams to realize significant improvements in value stream performance.

Accountable for On-Time schedule and Repair Turn Around Time (RTAT) performance.

Required Skills:

Minimum 8 years’ experience in a Program Management, Operations, or related environment
Experience in supervising and catalyzing day-to-day activities of a cross-functional team to meet production and financial goals.
Business partner and Customer interface experience
Must be able to proactively identify and implement opportunities for process and yield improvement, supportive of/and including Six Sigma and Lean manufacturing.
US Citizenship is requires as the position will require the ability to access US only data systems  
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance
U.S. Citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Desired Skills:

Supervisory / Managerial experience, including Bargaining Unit
Experience with ITAR, EX/IM and licensing regulations
Knowledge of Defense Industry Acquisition, Depot, ROR, Spares strategy and Manufacturing Readiness Assessment levels
Ability to collaborate across functions (Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Facilities, Security, etc.)
Excellent oral and written communications skills, team building, change management and team leadership experience and able to work with minimum direct supervision.
IPDS Knowledge
CAM experience, EVMS
Ability to coordinate requirements of multiple programs 

Required Education:

Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience
