Raytheon Technologies has a job opening for Cybersecurity Subject Matter Expert (SME) for an upcoming program. This work will be performed onsite at Fort Meade, MD. The effective candidate will be a recognized industry authority with advanced technical insight in multiple fields and disciplines. Complexity of work is state of the art and new to the company and to the industry. They will serve as consultant to top management in long-range planning concerning new or projected areas of technological research and advancements and will be instrumental in attracting/obtaining major new business. The candidate will be effective at face-to-face interaction, respond to requests for information, support technical meetings, technical interchanges and enterprise working groups, as necessary.

* Monitor, analyze, and detect Cyber events and incidents within information systems and networks under general supervision.
* Assist with integrated, dynamic Cyber defense, coordinate and maintain security toolsets to support organizations’ continuous monitoring and ongoing authorization programs, establish a framework by which cyber risk can be measured and quantified in the marketplace.
* Choose security requirements by evaluating business strategies and requirements; research information security standards; conduct system security and vulnerability analyses and risk assessments; study architecture/platform; identify integration issues; prepare cost estimates.
* Implement security systems by specifying intrusion detection methodologies and equipment; direct equipment and software installation and calibration; prepare preventive and reactive measures; create, transmit, and maintain keys; provide technical support; complete documentation.
* Verify security systems by developing and implementing test scripts.
* Maintain security by monitoring and ensuring compliance to standards, policies, and procedures; conduct incident response analyses; develop and conduct training programs.
* Design, development, implementation, and integration of a DoD IA architectures, systems, or system components for use within computing, network, and enclave environments.
* Ensure that the architecture and design of development and operational systems are functional and secure. This includes designs for program of record systems and special purpose processing nodes with platform IT interconnectivity.

* Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
* An active and in-scope Top Secret/SCI (TS/SCI) DoD security clearance.
* CISSP, CISM/CISA and/or CASP+ certifications
* Demonstrated information assurance and security engineering background, and sustainment and modification of existing baselines.
* Experience implementing compliance with security requirements (i.e. Risk Management Framework, STIGs)
* Experience in advanced cybersecurity validation using approved DoD tools

* GCCS-J Experience
* Hands-on experience with cyber toolsets:
* Command shell and scripting language experience
* DevOps/DevSecOps
* Usage of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) in system development
* Developing systems and configuring security postures
* Automation and Infrastructure-as-Code
* Agile Development and the Atlassian tool suite or Team Foundation Server
* Deep knowledge of project management
* Advanced knowledge of related disciplines within work area and ability to identify links and potential impact on projects, programs or systems.
