Our Department-22, Advanced Concepts and Technologies (ACT), Advanced Mission Systems (AMS) Section is seeking committed engineers and scientists who are passionate about creating innovative and cost-effective solutions.
The AMS Section is seeking a Systems Engineer with strong Multi-function RF (MFRF) background who understands Radar, EO/IR, EW and Comm systems and how they play together. This system engineer should be able to build system models and is proficient in System Modeling Language (SysML). This position requires proven technological and customer communications experience suitable to architect, model, and design the next generation Multi-Function RF capabilities. The candidate will have demonstrated ability to represent us to our customers. The SE center ensures that customer needs are met by providing foundational system integration and Multi-Function RF capabilities throughout the entire system life cycle. For all programs, this includes establishment of a well-defined technical baseline, distinct system architectures and models, clear system requirements, thorough integration and test plans, and early prototype level verification and validation. The SE team works in partnership with the Software & Hardware design centers to ensure a cohesive and compliant solution baseline is not only established, but managed throughout the contract period of performance
Minimum 6 years of related engineering experience in the Advanced Mission Systems area, with hands on experience in MFRF and SysML tools and in using Cameo based enterprise architecture to capture and analyze Mission System architecture, do requirement analysis and architectural trade-offs.
Must have knowledge of System Modeling Language (SysML) and Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) fundamentals
Knowledge of EW/RF/Communication principles and system and subsystem-level analysis methodologies.
Experience in EW/RF/Communication Systems design and development.
Demonstrated proficiency with modelling and simulation of radio, radar or EW systems and subsystems.
Experience in performing test and data analysis on Radio, Radar or EW systems.
Experience with HW & SW testing of radio, radar or EW systems and subsystems.
Existing & Active Secret Clearance is required on Day-1
Skilled with Cameo Enterprise Architecture software with experience developing Digital Engineering/MBSE products
Experienced in fundamentals of system requirements and performance specifications, and Integration, Verification & Validation (IV&V) test specifications.
Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation} and ability to effectively communicate with leadership.
Fundamentals of the following common MBSE tools: DOORs Next Gen, Cameo Enterprise Architect, or Rational Rhapsody.
Proficient with Rational DOORS (Classic or Next Generation)
Ability to develop, document, analyze, and decompose requirements
Ability to use MATLAB and other tools to analyze and collect technical data
Experience with Radio Frequency communications systems and RAdio Detection And Ranging (RADAR) systems
Experience with EO/IR Sensors
Experience integrating multi-function systems onto military platforms
A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience and a BS in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics; or a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience with a MS in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics
Requires advanced knowledge of work area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience. May have practical knowledge of project
management. Practical to substantial knowledge of RTX projects, programs or systems with the ability to make enhancements and leverage in daily work.
A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience
Engineering/Other Technical Positions:
Typically requires a degree in Science,Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
