Senior Software Engineer (Onsite)

Raytheon Intelligence and Space (RIS) is seeking Software Engineers for our satellite ground system programs.

In this role, you will be joining a development team where our software engineers and architects are developing and maintaining next-generation ground station software. Our complex domain requires creative solutions to meet evolving customer needs.

This position is eligible for a sign on bonus of up to $12K for a person with a TS/SCI clearance that can be verified and hired here at Raytheon Intelligence & Space

Required Skills:

Relevant experience in DevOps using Jenkins, Docker and Kubernetes
Experienced with Object-Oriented Programming in Java or C++
Experience with Agile practices
Experience working in a Linux environment
An active and in-scope Secret US security clearance

Education/Experience Requirements:

5 years of relevant experience with a Bachelors degree (STEM – Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics, typically); OR
3 years of relevant experience with a Masters degree (STEM – Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics, typically)

Desired Skills:

An active and in-scope TS/SCI US security clearance
Experience with UML design modeling in modeling tools such as Rational Rose, RSA, or Rhapsody
Experience with application development involving RDBMS (such as Oracle, MySQL, etc.)
Knowledge of secure coding practices
Experience integrating software modules, components, and subsystems
Experience with some area of satellite ground system software such as mission management, planning and scheduling, command and telemetry, satellite operations, or flight dynamics models
