Senior Manager, Electrical Engineering – Digital Controls (Hybrid)

Job Description

This position is for a Senior Engineering Manager that will drive a team of electrical design and hardware systems engineers.  This individual will lead technical resources in the design, development, and support of Full Authority Digital Electronic Engine Control (FADEC) products for the Power & Controls Digital Controls Product Line.  The manager will oversee a team of engineers working on projects ranging from new product development, production support, and field investigations.   This role requires a strong leader with familiarity of analog / digital circuit design and analysis, complex logic devices, and hardware / software integration. 

Primary Responsibilities:

Develops resourcing plans and assign technical resources to meet project milestones
Responsible for planning, organizing, and distributing responsibilities for a team of engineers
Responsible for the development and technical coaching of staff as well as onboarding and assimilation of new hires.
Leverages advanced principles, theories, and concepts of circuit / electronic operation to provide direction and guidance to employees.
Responsible for successful execution of design, substantiation, certification and qualification activities for FADEC products
Follows established standard work activities while identifying opportunities for continuous process improvement

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline and 10 years of relevant experience OR
Advance degree and 7 years of relevant experience OR
In absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience is required
Must be a U.S. Citizen

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experiencing leading a team of technical professionals
Strong interpersonal, team building, and leadership skills
Electrical engineering development process experience with embedded controls
Proficient verbal and written communication abilities
Demonstrated broad-based technical competency
