Senior Electrical Design Engineer (Onsite)

The Senior Electrical Design Engineer is part of an integrated product team of engineers that design and support embedded controls for General Electric and Rolls Royce aircraft engine control applications.  The Senior Electrical Design Engineer has intermediate knowledge of electronic controller circuits, experience in analog and/or digital processing electrical design and is familiar with control systems.

Primary Responsibilities:

Drive the Electrical Design effort of development, obsolescence, and root cause investigation projects
Provide technical leadership, oversight, and/or mentorship of junior engineers
Design/modify, simulate, implement, and test new electronic equipment designs to improve operational efficiency
Design and validate circuits to meet specified requirements (DO-254, DO-160, etc.) using the most cost effective and efficient means
Leverage circuit theory, processing system design and development, instrumentation, semiconductor devices and solid-state devices
Work closely with other engineering disciplines (i.e. Software, Mechanical, or Systems engineering) to ensure the electrical design is appropriate for the project/product design approach

Basic Qualifications:

Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Bachelor’s degree (typically in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations OR
Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years’ experience OR
In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must have or be capable of obtaining a US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance.  Candidate selected will be subject to a government security investigation/reinstatement and must meet eligibility requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience completing Electrical Design planning, testing and analysis.
Digital and Analog circuit experience
Experience with developing and executing test plans
Circuit and Wire layout experience
Experience with common tools like Allegro, Cadence, or Timing Designer
