This QM/MRB (QRC) position is critical to Columbus Forge for maintaining control of Nonconforming material and ensuring that material is dispositioned in compliance with Pratt and Whitney procedures. This person is will actively engage with cross functional teams to efficiently process material through MRB and support Columbus Forge initiatives including Aged QN and Critical Parts List.
Becoming a fully qualified QM/MRB Member
Utilize experience and available resources to assess the condition of material, build or review QN history, and execute available next steps to process and close QN’s
General organization of MRB Cribs as well as inventorying and sorting QN material
The ideal candidate would have the following competencies:
Self-starter able to identify needs, communicate efficiently and effectively to management and peers
Continuous improvement perspective and willingness to share ideas and recommendations with management and peers openly
Able to identify the minimum requirements needed to completely and accurately describe a nonconformance
Understanding MRB Procedures including PW 184.108.40.206 L3, PW 5.3.6 L2 and PW-QA 6088, Manufacturing and Quality Work Instructions (MQI) (QS 03-002), Routing of Parts (QS 03-008)
Basic understanding of Blades Quality System Manual and how to access QS’s, MC&O’s. Engine Manuals, Blueprints, Visual Standards, Team Center,
A working knowledge of reading and understanding Engineering drawings and specifications.
For a NDT or Visual nonconformance the description required to identify number, size, and location; and how the specification has been exceeded.
Control and Segregation requirements for nonconforming material, all types.
Prior inspection experience – up to and including Final Inspection.
Skilled in processing of Quality Notifications in SAP
Skilled in navigating Solumina to confirm work instruction and routing requirements
Visual Inspection experience
Experience, willingness, and personality conducive to training others
Prior experience in aerospace, automotive, or electronic industries.
Must be computer literate and have prior experience working with SAP or alternate ERP system
High School Diploma – College Degree, Technical Preferred
US Citizenship required due to government contract
