Position Scope and Charter:
The primary responsibility of this position is to lead & coordinate the planning & execution of learning & development projects for the program management team and RTX program partners. As the liaison between RTX program partners, the internal program management team & functional leaders, the successful candidate will conduct analyses to determine solutions, initiate projects, manage start-up & implementation of projects, develop mechanisms for monitoring project status, assess project issues & develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality & client objectives.
Additional responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Liaise with project manager & program partners to identify & align on requirements, clearly define scope & deliverables
Develop project plans, project management processes & tools to execute on program vision & strategy
Act as primary point of contact for internal leaders & business partners at various management levels
Apply project management strategies, techniques, processes & tools
Implement project management best practices to drive program execution
Implement & manage program-level performance tracking & management to guide corrective & preventive action
Monitor the implementation & delivery of projects to ensure compliance with agreed upon terms
Create & manipulate reports from relevant data sources to illustrate program progress
Identify trends & recommend process modifications to enhance outcomes
Capture & track program action items & work with action owners to ensure timely satisfactorily closure of actions
Manage external vendors, create purchase requests, manage purchase orders & address issues related to supply chain
Assign work & monitor deliverables of team members in areas that include schedule, budget & quality of service
Ensure the program meets contractual commitments including cost & schedule performance, within contractual boundaries & company expectations
It is important to note that this position requires:
up to 25% travel to support events at Raytheon facilities, primarily in the continental US, however travel outside the US may be required
some work outside of normal business hours & weekends
the ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
Minimum two years demonstrated experience supporting business project management & execution in a customer-facing environment
Strong client-facing & teamwork skills
Demonstrated ability to function well within a team & influence team members to achieve positive results & meet project milestones
Proven ability to build relationships at multiple levels of a client organization
Demonstrated ability to achieve organizational, program & individual goals & objectives
Demonstrated ability to develop cost estimates based on requirements & monitor performance against an established budget
Experience creating & analyzing data to generate reports, summarize results, identify issues & recommend solutions
Solid organizational skills, including time management & the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Proven ability to identify, evaluate & resolve problems quickly & effectively
Excellent verbal & written business communication skills
Proven ability to work with minimal management direction
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of programs (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Must have the ability to obtain a US passport
Knowledge of learning industry & standard project management processes
Experience with financial statements such as budget detail, cost actuals & P&L
Experience operating corporate collaboration systems, including Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Teams & Workday Learning
Six Sigma and/or PMP certification a plus
Eight years professional experience with a high school diploma may be considered in lieu of a bachelor’s degree
This position requires a U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.
