The System Engineering Integration and Test (SEIT) organization integrates all aspects of system validation, test, and analysis from initial system architecture, design and development, through system validation. The Tactical Radar System Department has overall responsibility for the system integration and test process, test facility management, as well as off-site system and flight test activities, analysis and test problem resolution.

This engineer will support the F/A-18 Domestic and Foreign Military Sales Radar development and production programs. The system engineer will support various engineering activities that include test and systems validation, modeling and simulation, requirements analysis, data analysis, flight test analysis and overall systems integration. Expect to plan and perform IV&V assignments which include collaborating with others in determining method of verification, generating test plans, verification procedures, developing analysis tools in Matlab, and documenting results in a test report. The engineer will work independently with general guidance provided by the task Lead on general objectives and details of unusual situations and/or requirements.

Must be willing to travel to production facility (in Forest, MS) as needed; typically 25% of the time, but can be more for station standup / sell-offs.

Required Skills: 

·         8+ years of experience in an engineering role 

·         U.S. Citizen; ability to access U.S. only data 

·         Active DoD Secret Clearance is Required with ability to obtain special access/program clearances 

·         Experience working in a production environment 

·         Experience working in a Radar Systems Integration Lab environment 

·         Experience with Systems Engineering Product Development Cycle

·         Programming experience in MATLAB, C/ C++, or other higher level program languages 

·         Experience in development of analysis tools and failure trend analysis 

Desired Skills: 

·         Knowledge in Microsoft Excel tool development 

·         Experience in radar systems test environments, and in development of test scripts 

·         Experience in development, analysis or test on radar systems, signal processing, electro-optical systems or components 

·         Excellent communication, technical writing, oral presentation, and interpersonal skills 

·         Ability to effectively execute tasks, resolve unexpected issues and meet challenging schedules in a research and development program environment 

·         Ability to convey technical issues and provide status briefings to managers and key program stakeholders 

·         Demonstrated ability to apply the engineering design process to discover innovative methods to solve technical problems and analyze large sets of system performance data 

·         Familiarity with Raytheon businesses, policies, and practices 

·         Working knowledge of Six Sigma and IPDS 

Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics or related technical discipline

This position requires a U.S. person or the ability to obtain an Export Authorization from the appropriate government agency for non-U.S. persons.

U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance as of day one of employment.

Requires advanced to expert knowledge of work area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.

May have broad knowledge of project management. Requires substantial knowledge of RTX projects, programs or

systems in order to provide enhancements within job area. Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years

prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience

Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a

minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
