Summary of Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Principal
Engineer and Relationship Manager with Raytheon UK
based in Qatar. This is a key, unique role working in
support of our highly regarded Paveway product line for
the BAE Systems led Typhoon programme.

Main Duties:
Be the Subject Matter Expert for Paveway® in Qatar
Provide first and second line product support to BAE and
Deliver Paveway® IV and GBU 48 ground-based weapon
Attend aircrew de-briefs
Develop relationships within BAE and QEAF for future
benefit to all Stakeholders
Be the first Point of Contact for resolution of any issues
arising from the Paveway® weapon system
Maintain technical records and reports for all Field
Service activities

Candidate Requirements:
Experience with UK weapon systems – ideally with
experience of Paveway® IV
Experienced technical Weapons Instructor (particularly
with non-UK nations)
Weapons storage and handling specialist
Operational fast jet experience
Demonstrable problem-solving skills and issue resolution
experience in an engineering environment
Excellent communicator (both written and oral).
Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to interact with
Customers, suppliers and operators at all levels
Computer literate
Capable of living and working in Qatar
Full driving licence
Medically fit for work in extreme temperatures (medical
required for Visa)

Ex-Military Weapons specialist an advantage
Experience of the Typhoon aircraft and weapon
deployment / operation
Knowledge of QEAF and work environment
Understanding of Arabic Culture
