Pratt & Whitney Engine Services is seeking an Engine Line Manager who will be responsible for Cycle 1. The manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of an engine shop cycle at an aftermarket aircraft engine facility in Bridgeport WV. The manager will be responsible for the progression of engines through Disassembly, Clean, Non-destructive Testing, and Detail Inspection. The manager is accountable for on-time delivery, customer satisfaction, turn-around-time (within the individual cycle), product quality, implementation of continuous improvement initiatives by staff and hourly employees (productivity improvement, cost reduction, new technology, etc.), cost targets, operating budget, and support to internal and external customers. Also responsible for monitoring the processing of key engine components to be routed out to external vendors prior to Cycle 1 completion.

Responsibilities also include building the capacity for engine induction for the facility and evaluating opportunities to increase capacity while monitoring the flow of engines through the cycle. While maintaining a safe work environment, this position will manage and develop staff and hourly employees within the organization.  Coordinating the operations transformation initiatives, and implementation of “Lean Transformation” techniques and principles.

Ensures that short, medium and long-term plans are executed accurately, ensuring that the all facets of the change process are considered and effectively communicated.
Deliver customer value: Leads the implementation of new processes, activities, or culture that enhances the customer experience, and ensures that employees live a customer-focused culture every day.
Drive performance: Achieves results personally and from work groups; sets performance expectations and holds people accountable for achieving results.
Acts strategically: Makes strategic recommendations respecting long term growth plans.

Basic Qualifications:

An associates degree and 9+ years of proven direct leadership experience; OR a bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of proven direct leadership, OR an advanced degree and 5+ years of proven direct leadership experience; OR candidates with extensive direct experience in lieu of a degree will also be considered
3+ years of progressive management experience within the aerospace, manufacturing, or a related industry
Candidate will have supervision experience of 5+ direct reports
US Citizenship required due to government contracts

Preferred Qualifications:

MBA or other advanced management degree
Experience within a Manager role, and the ability to be promoted through demonstrated performance and proven ability
Demonstrated success with operations management, excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills, and the proven ability to lead projects within the following areas impacting operations: EH&S, HR, Quality, Finance, Ethics/Compliance, and Export Control. This position also requires proven leadership ability with exposure to Operations Management

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
