Windsor Locks is looking for an Mechanical Project Test Engineer to join our growing organization.

Primary Responsibilities:

Coordinate and schedule testing with outside test suppliers. Maintain test schedules and interface with program office to assure program schedules are met

Coordinate with internal manpower to prepare and ship item for testing and coordinate any support equipment required

Interface with customers regarding the status of outside testing

Design, implement, and maintain test processes for Space Systems hardware using lean philosophies and techniques

Take a leadership role in driving action in the development, planning & implementation of timely and effective corrective actions for problems during product manufacturing and testing

Duties include the interpretation/analysis of customer test requirements and subsequent cost estimates to support an appropriate test program

Responsibilities also include daily interface with Program, Manufacturing, Quality and Engineering organizations to ensure that customer committed hardware and data deliveries are consistently met

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience OR

Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience OR

In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required

Must be a U.S. Citizen

Preferred Qualifications:

Excellent communication skills, written and verbal are required. Ability to proficiently operate common Microsoft Office software products is required. Experience with a MRP (Manufacturing Resource Planning) system is desirable

Education / Certifications: Bachelors of Science in Engineering or Technology, MBA or an advanced Engineering degree is desired
