This is a salaried, non-exempt (eligible for overtime) position in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The role is 100% onsite, primarily working in one building but may need to work in other nearby buildings/labs. The work performed can be complex, strategic (aligned to business unit strategy) and often minimally defined and/or undefined. This role may need to support customers by working outside of “normal” business hours and/or travel but is not required.
This is a 2nd shift position supporting factory transition running automated test equipment, testing, and troubleshooting. Note: initial training will be on day shift
Will solder, build, test, and troubleshoot/debug electronics assemblies
Applies advanced skills and knowledge to solve tasks.
Adapts to new procedures, techniques, and tools quickly; is willing and able to share knowledge to promote a good learning environment.
Although frequently works autonomously, can work in a team environment with good oral and writing skills.
Interfaces well with key customers on complex systems or processes; able to improve upon existing processes and practices.
Solves complex problems and serves as a resource on varied tasks.
Works under minimal supervision as needed.
Regularly leads by example utilizing “soft” people skills.
An AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience. In the absence of a HS diploma, GED or AA/AS degree, 8 years of relevant experience is required OR
A Bachelor’s degree in the appropriate discipline and 2 years of relevant experience.
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must have or be capable of obtaining a US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance. Candidate selected will be subject to a government security investigation/reinstatement and must meet eligibility requirements
Must have their own basic set of hand tools for electronics
Having experience in both RF and digital a plus
