AEITS, Inc. seeks a Configuration Manager, Level 3 (CM3) to manage and maintain configuration control over complex systems and software baselines.

In this position, you will support our customer in the Annapolis Junction, MD area. This role involves establishing and enforcing configuration management policies and procedures across the project lifecycle, ensuring all changes are systematically controlled and documented in alignment with industry standards and organizational goals.

Mission: As a Configuration Manager supporting this government program, you will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity, consistency, and traceability of complex systems and software throughout the development lifecycle. Your mission is to implement and manage robust configuration management practices that support project success, enable effective change control, and maintain compliance with organizational and industry standards.

Location: Annapolis Junction, MD

All work is on-site. This is not a hybrid or remote position.

Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • TS/SCI with Polygraph
  • Bachelor’s degree in technical or business discipline from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of experience as a Configuration Manager (CM) on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity. See Education below for experience trade-offs.
  • If assigned to a developmental program, at least one (1) year of experience using a source code control system within a similar development environment of similar scope and complexity is required.

Education and Required Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in technical or business discipline from an accredited college or university and minimum of eight (8) years of experience as a Configuration Manager (CM) on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
  • A master’s degree may substitute for two (2) years of experience, reducing the required total to six (6) years of experience.
  • If no bachelor’s or master’s degree, then an additional four (4) years of CM experience are required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in implementing hardware and software version control processes, policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the use of configuration management tools (e.g. DOORS, Eclipse) to store, track, and manage configuration items.
  • Understand basic concepts and assist in documenting hardware and software configuration management processes and procedures.
  • Implement hardware and software version control processes, policies and procedures.
  • Understand basic concepts, assist in maintaining and developing the environment for hardware and software product build, staging, testing and integration.
  • Assist in defining and implementing hardware and software configuration management processes and procedures; such as creating product build scripts and procedures and integrating those scripts with the hardware and software build process.
  • Utilize configuration management tools (e.g. DOORS, Eclipse) to store, track, and manage configuration items.
  • Maintain the CM environment for hardware and software product build, staging, testing, and integration.
  • Develop hardware and software version control processes, policies and procedures and ensure that they are followed on hardware and software development projects.
  • Apply concepts and define and implement hardware and software configuration management processes and procedures, such as creating product build scripts and procedures, and integrate those scripts with the hardware and software build process.
  • Serve as an advisor to (or non-voting member of) Government Change Control Board (CCB).
  • Ensure hardware and software version control processes, policies and procedures are followed on hardware and software development projects.
  • Manage, maintain and develop the CM environment for hardware and software product build, staging, testing and integration.
  • Work independently, define and implement hardware and software configuration management processes and procedures, such as creating product build scripts and procedures. Integrate those scripts with the hardware and software build process.

Travel

  • Less than 10% of travel may occur.
