Leidos’ Defense Systems Colorado Manufacturing is seeking a CNC Machinist to join our team at our Colorado Springs, CO location. The ideal candidate will need to have experience in programming, setup, and operation of a variety of machine tools including CNC Mills and CNC Lathes.

Primary Responsibilities
-
Must be capable of reading engineering drawings and CAD models.
-
Experience in setup and operating a variety of machine tools including CNC mills and CNC lathes.
-
Experience in the manufacturing of large aerospace components from exotic materials, is a plus. 5-axis and/or mill-turn experience is a plus.
-
Applicant must be able to work on different projects in an ever changing, rapid paced R&D environment with little or no assistance.
Basic Qualifications
-
High School diploma/GED with at least 2 years of experience years of precision machining experience on CNC Mills & CNC Lathes.

Candidates must have the ability to lift a minimum of 35+ pounds unassisted.

Candidate must be able to work overtime when required.

Applicant must be able to work a full-time, 4-days per week 10-hours per shift – 2nd shift

Must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance OR meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
-
Experience in the manufacturing of complex aerospace components from exotic materials, such as Titanium.

5-axis and/or mill-turn experience is a plus.
-
5 axis machining experience with Fanuc, Siemens 840D controls.
-
(2) two years of 2D & 3D experience with a CAM software tool.
-
Experience machining in a prototype environment.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $46,800.00 – $84,600.00
The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
