Business Data AnalystBCforward is currently seeking an initiative-taking Business Data Analyst for an opportunity in Jersey City, NJPosition Title: Business Data AnalystLocation: Jersey City, NJAnticipated Start Date: ASAPPlease note this is the target date and it is subject to change. BCforward will send official notice ahead of a confirmed start date.Expected Duration: 12 Months.Job Type: CONTRACT, (Hybrid)Monday- Friday (5×8)Candidate who is authorized to work independentlyPay Range: $60- $65/hr.Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per-diem, etc).Job Description: Required skills:* 10+ years’ experience with at least 3+ years’ experience as a BA/FA * Delivery focused techno-functional role * Good knowledge of SQL programming preferably with databases such as Oracle Exadata * Programming experience with Python or Java/.NET * Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills * Deep understanding of Capital Markets with focus on Credit Risk, Market Risk or Capital calculations * Understanding of regulations within the Capital Markets space (Basel, CRR, CRD IV etc) * Attention to detail and self-starter, with an ability to identify risks and issues and suggest improvements.Preferred Skillset * Knowledge of Big Data Architectures and Cloud computing * Knowledge of machine-learning techniques, classifiers and statistical methods * Exceptional intelligence and problem-solving skills * Excellent communication skillsNice to have skillsets – Python, MicroStrategy. Candidate is not expected to write the code in Python or MicroStrategy however ability to read and understand Python code and run reports in MicroStrategy.
