Description
Leidos' Energy, Infrastructure, & Automation (EIA) Business Area currently has an entry level opening for a Billing Automation Analyst to work in our Reston – VA HQ office. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the EIA mission and improving our Operating Cash Flow (OCF) performance. We’re seeking an early career professional with a passion for automation and process improvement to join our team as a Billing Automation Analyst. This role focuses on streamlining and optimizing billing processes through automation tools and smart workflow design. You’ll play a key part in reducing manual effort, improving accuracy, and accelerating billing cycles.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Capture, document and analyze current billing processes to identify inefficiencies, errors, and areas suitable for automation.
- Work closely with finance, IT, SW developers, and operations teams to understand billing requirements and pain points.
- Develop and maintain documentation for automation processes and billing workflows.
- Monitor automation solutions to ensure reliability, performance, and compliance with financial policies.
- Troubleshoot issues and implement updates or improvements as needed.
- Help train and support billing/PFA/PM staff in adopting and using new automation tools
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related field with prior internship or academic project experience related to billing, automation, or process improvement.
- Familiar with process automation tools such as Power Automate, UiPath, Alteryx, or similar.
- Interest in finance or billing operations, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Visio, Excel, PowerBI
- Basic knowledge of scripting (e.g., Python, VBA) is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- US citizenship is required and able to obtain security clearance.
- Willing to work onsite 3 days per week in our Reston – VA HQ office.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with ERP or billing platforms (e.g., Deltek, SAP, NetSuite, QuickBooks, Zuora).
- Basic understanding of financial compliance and audit considerations in billing.
Please note that actual pay for this job is closer to the middle of the posted pay range.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $50,050.00 – $90,475.00
