Summary

The Armed Security Officer will provide security services and supervise the detaintee population in assigned area of the facility; be responsible for the health and welfare of the detainee population and respond to emergent situations.

This position is contingent upon contract award

Responsibilities

Enforce all detetion center policy rules by remaining vigilant and observant.

Oversee assigned detainees; maintain safety and security by inspecting / searching living areas for cleanliness and contraband.

Conduct detainee searches and apply various types of restraint devices.

Provide escort duties as needed.

Possess the ability to work various shifts including weekends.

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum of one year experience as a law enforcement officer, military police, or one year experience as a security officer engaged in functions related to detaining civil or administrative occupants.

Experience working in a detention facility preferred.

Knowledge of American Correctional Association (ACA) standards.

High school diploma.

Must pass a background investigation and obtain a T4 security clearance.

Current First Aid/CPR certifications.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

Possess exceptional verbal and written communicative skills
