Position Summary
The Analyst, In-Flight Planning is responsible for managing and processing in-flight incident reports using the Intelex platform. This role involves ensuring accurate data entry and analysis to identify trends and potential emergency threats related to In-Flight Operations safety. Is able to effectively visualize data outputs to support decision-making and enhance program effectiveness. Serves as a liaison and provides subject matter expertise to In-Flight Management and other operational departments on the health of In-Flights incident and hazard reporting programs. This position reports to the Sr. Manager In-Flight Safety Management System.
This position has an estimated duration of 9 months. Note that no relocation assistance is available for this position.
Key Responsibilities
Interpret data and identify trends based on specific knowledge of In-Flight policy & procedures used and deliver insight and/or recommendations
Action Intelex safety / non-safety incident reports and provide follow up with appropriate departments
Create and over-see security investigations for department
Manage the departments Security Evaluation Program (SEP)
Identify top reported issues weekly and action root cause for resolution
Conduct onboard audits
Continuous improvement – Work with other groups such as Customer Service, Safety, IT, Flight Operations, etc. to implement continuous improvements in safety, regulatory and guest experience
Provide reports for the following departments and organizations (AO, A4A, Safety Steering Committee, In-flight Training, SMS, Product Development, In-flight Union (AFA), Catering)
Prepares reports, records, and other required documents and paperwork
Assist in the analysis of quality and safety trends
Ensure policies, procedures, and programs are compliant with all relevant requirements
Create reports and presentations for senior leadership as required
Develop and support the transition of database management systems and provide training materials and sessions for new individual hires and departments who will input, edit, and view reports (IF Management, Consumer Affairs, FA group)
Assist with department’s Crew Absence Management and other operations programs
Assist with the In-Flight Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP)
Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
High School or equivalent education
4 years of in-depth experience with data management, analysis and/or reporting
Experience with presentation and facilitation skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong analytical skill and advanced knowledge with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Adobe
Excellent organization, project management and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated ability to lead implementation of forward-thinking guidelines and procedures across the enterprise
Self-starter with proven ability to establish and meet goals/objectives

Please note that the provided salary information serves as a general guideline. Our salary is determined by a candidate’s experience and qualifications as well as market and business considerations. The expected pay range is $73,700 – $96,600.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field
In-Flight operations experience
Familiarity with analytical tools, database software and/or business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Tableau Prep)
Knowledge of the Intelex system
