About the Department
Alumni Relations and Development (ARD) engages alumni (~220k), current
students, parents and friends of the University through intellectual,
professional and social activities on campus, around the world and
online. ARD raises $600 Million annually to support faculty and
researchers, practitioners and patients, and students and programs
across the University. Our work supports priorities in every division,
school, department, and institute.
The Analytics and Technology Solutions (ATS) team provides technology
and system solutions to enable ARD to meet aggressive fundraising goals
and measure, analyze and predict growth in constituency giving and
participation. Using an enterprise approach to data and systems, ATS
creates a data and user environment that is consistent yet agile.
Collaborating with stakeholders to understand program strategies, ATS
develops data, reporting, and analytics solutions that lead to
actionable outcomes and actualized goals.
Job Summary
This role performs a range of activities to develop analytic platforms
and maintain administrative data across the University. Routinely
partners with functional stewards, business units, and user partners to
help deliver reporting and analytic solutions with appropriate data
governance and secure access. Receives a moderate level of guidance and
direction.
Responsibilities
Designs, develops, and maintains both recurring and ad hoc
reports/dashboards to solve operational and analytical problems.
Collaborates with partner teams to gather business requirements and
translate them into analyses and data delivery tools that support
decision-making.
Develops optimization strategies to enhance efficiency and improve
data delivery processes.
Partners with internal training and knowledge teams to assist in the
creation of training materials and disseminate best practices.
Analyzes large datasets to extract actionable insights that support
business decision-making.
Identifies trends, patterns, and opportunities in data to provide
actionable business recommendations and presents findings and
insights to stakeholders through visualizations and presentations.
Manages multiple Business Intelligence (BI) projects simultaneously,
ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business goals.
Seeks opportunities for professional development that will enhance
job performance including attending webinars, seminars, building
networks within the University and with colleagues at peer
institutions.
Works with users to ensure deliverables are meeting or exceeding
expectations. Provides support and communicates issues to users as
defined by IT standards. Monitors access control and troubleshoot BI
and analytic applications.
Participates in planning, testing, and roll-out of patches and
upgrades to the BI and analytic software. Participates in the
development and interpretation of BI and analytics system standards
and procedures.
Perform other related work as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
Minimum requirements include a college or university degree in related
field.
Work Experience:
Minimum requirements include knowledge and skills developed through 2-5
years of work experience in a related job discipline.
Certifications:

Preferred Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree.
Major in statistics, business, social sciences, computer science or
similar major.
Experience:
Minimum of two years experience analyzing, visualizing and
synthesizing complex data sets.
TechnicalSkills or Knowledge:
Broad experience working with Salesforce CRM.
Knowledge and understanding of higher education advancement
industry.
Preferred Competencies
Strong project management skills, with an aptitude for leading
end-to-end project delivery.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills,
with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical
audiences.

Working Conditions
This position has a hybrid work schedule which includes weekly in office
